When is the best time to go on safari
in Tanzania? +
Tanzania is a year-round destination. The dry season (June–October) offers the best game
viewing with animals concentrating around water sources. July–September brings the dramatic Mara River
crossings in the northern Serengeti. The green season (November–May) brings lush scenery, fewer crowds, and
lower rates — excellent for birdwatching and photography.
How many people are in each game
drive vehicle? +
All Jolita Safari game drives are private — your group only. Our custom-fitted 4×4 Land
Cruisers accommodate a maximum of 6 guests, each with a window seat and roof hatch access. Private vehicles
mean maximum flexibility for game viewing, photography, and personalized guiding.
What is included in the safari price?
+
All our safaris include: all park and conservation fees, all accommodation as per
itinerary, full board meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), all game drives in a private Land Cruiser,
airport transfers, bottled water during drives, an English-speaking TANAPA-certified guide, Flying Doctors
emergency evacuation cover, all government taxes, and 24/7 Jolita Safari support. International flights,
visa fees, travel insurance, optional activities, alcoholic beverages, and gratuities are not included.
Can we customize the safari
itinerary? +
Absolutely. Every Jolita Safari is fully customizable — dates, duration, accommodation
level, specific parks, additional activities (hot air balloon, walking safaris, Zanzibar extension), and
group size. Share your vision and budget and we will craft your perfect Tanzania experience from scratch.
Is Tanzania safe for tourists?
+
Tanzania is one of Africa's most stable and welcoming nations, very safe for tourists. The
national parks are carefully managed and monitored. Jolita Safari has operated safely for 20+ years. All
guests are covered by Flying Doctors emergency evacuation insurance, and our 24/7 support hotline ensures
you always have assistance when needed.
What vaccinations do I need?
+
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly
recommended. Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Tetanus vaccinations are advised. Consult a travel clinic 4-6 weeks
before departure for personalized medical advice.
