Booking Terms
Please ensure you have read through the following Terms and Conditions before making a booking with Jolita Safari.
Booking & Payment Terms
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid at least 30 days before the tour begins. For last-minute reservations, conditions will change.
All the payments should be FREE FROM BANK CHARGES
Cancellation policy:
Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers are subject to Cancellation and No-Show fees if cancelled within 60 days of the arrival date:
- 60 days to 30 days before arrival: 30%
- 29 days to 7 days before arrival: 65%
- Within 6 Days: 100%
Subject to Hotels and lodges Cancellation fees to apply
There are no refunds for unused portions of the program, and refunds will not be made to clients who do not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever. Amendments made to the itinerary once paid for may result in additional costs.
Cancellation by Jolita Safari
Jolita Safari reserves the right to cancel your holiday in any circumstance, for any reason and at any time before full payment has been received. In these circumstances, we will return to you all monies paid or offer an alternative holiday of a comparable standard.
Jolita Safari reserves the right to cancel your holiday at any time due to circumstances amounting to force majeure, which include war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, power failure, technical problems with transport, flood, drought, Government action, unscheduled camp or lodge closure (including but not limited to closure due to fire, flood, adverse weather damage, strike action, etc.) and other unusual and unforeseen circumstances. In circumstances amounting to force majeure no compensation will be payable.
Unused Service
Jolita Safari provides clients with detailed information on the itinerary and this is confirmed with the client’s approval. Jolita Safari is unable to refund any part of the services unused as a result.
Client Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all travel documents including passports, visas and vaccination certificates are in order. Jolita Safari can offer general advice but cannot be held responsible for failure on the client’s part to comply with legislative requirements prior to departure. You are responsible for a timely check-in for all flights and for presenting yourself to take up all pre-booked components of your holiday with Jolita Safari. Should you fail to comply with this, then no credit or refund will be given if you fail to present yourself at the appropriate time or place in accordance with your final confirmation details and itinerary, nor if you lose any travel documents. Please remember that there are inherent risks involved in all holidays to Africa and these must be accepted by you at your own risk.
Responsibility and Insurance
It must be clearly understood that these are adventure safaris and there are certain dangers and risks which are inevitable. Whilst every care is taken for the safety and comfort of our clients, the company accepts no liability for all or any of the following:
- Damage or loss of property of any client, howsoever caused.
- Sickness, infection, injury or death of the clients, howsoever caused.
- Change of itinerary due to road and weather conditions.
- Damages, directly or indirectly, arising out of delays in departure or arrival including delays occasioned by the missing of road, rail, ship or aircraft connections.
It is therefore understood, on receiving a client’s booking that adequate and valid insurance cover against these and other risks have been taken care of by the client.
Drinks:
These are NOT included in our costs.
Visa:
All nationals will require visas for TANZANIA. The cost of which is US$ 50 per person per entry. We recommend that where possible your clients attain their visas in advance, although they are available upon arrival in TANZANIA.
Climate:
The climate is hot and sometimes humid. From December to March, when the northeast monsoon blows, it is hot and humid. In April and May, heavy rains occur with June to October being the coolest and driest period. The lesser rains fall in November. Temperatures sway between 25 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius and annual rainfall is about 20mm.
Baggage allowance:
Baggage is restricted to 15kg per person on domestic flights within East Africa. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles, carried by porters and on aircraft used within Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″ x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at the owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly recommended).
Shopping Trips
Driver/Guides will only stop at the shops/curios stall, which are recommended by Jolita Safari Ltd. We provide escort at no extra cost to accompany guests on shopping trips so as to help with recommendation and save.
LIABILITY
Jolita Safari acts as agent for hotels, transportation services and facilities provided by other parties, firms or corporations and cannot be held responsible for delays, loss, damage, injury or accident, change of itineraries which may occur through the negligence of any individual or company entrusted with such service.

- The rates quoted are subject to change without prior warning or should there be any increases in Park Fees, Fuel, or Vat, Third Party Services or any other circumstances beyond our control in the countries featured in this quote/booking.
* Jolita Safari cannot be held responsible should airlines discontinue flights on certain routings or change scheduled timetables resulting in missed connections etc. Should an amendment in a routing or itinerary be necessary we will require you accordingly.
* Please advise your clients to take precautions against malaria prior to the commencement of their holiday. We recommend they contact their pharmacist for advice as to which prophylactic is recommended.
Force Majeure
The Company cannot accept any liability or pay any compensation in respect to delays or lack of performance affected by ‘force majeure’. Force Majeure means any event which the Company has no control over and even in circumstances where all due care was taken the event could not have been avoided or foreseen. This includes events such as war, or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside the Company’s control.
Insurance
You are strongly advised to take out adequate insurance against all risks for an adequate sum. The Company does not undertake to provide medical care (except to call in the flying doctors transfer service in Kenya and Tanzania) and the Company does not accept liability for any inadequate care provided.
Children Policy
Children under the age of 12 sharing a room with two adults generally pay 50% – 70% of the rate quoted except on air, rail, safaris, adventure programmes or balloon safaris. Children under 7 are not permitted in any tree hotels and most tented camps. Some wildlife lodges and tented camps accommodate a maximum of 2 persons. Other restrictions may apply from time to time. Children rates are available on request.
Law
The Company’s contract will be governed by and constructed in accordance with the law of Tanzania. Accordingly, each party irrevocably submits to the jurisdiction of the Tanzania courts to settle any dispute or matter arising under this contract
Health
Visitors to Kenya, Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar should have an International Certificate of vaccine against Yellow Fever. Anti-malarial tablets are recommended for travel to all sub-Saharan Countries (with the exception of certain parts of South Africa) and to be taken a few days prior to arrival, during your stay and a short period after returning. (However, we strongly recommend that you consult your General Practitioner (GP)/Physician/Travel Clinic for advice on inoculations and antimalarial advice).
For those going Mountain trekking, we will assume you have received prior consent from your GP/Physician & Dentist. Note if you have a cough, cold, or any respiratory illnesses, diabetes(or any illness due to irregular blood sugar levels) do NOT attempt to trek these mountains, It can be dangerous and could prove fatal. If you do attempt it anyway (Jolita Safari will require a statement in writing saying that you have sought the approval of your GP/Physician and that you will be undertaking the trek at your own risk), park regulations restrict you to trek above 3000m. If you have any physical disabilities please let us know.
Also note: You are NOT permitted to trek these mountains if you have any of the following; Cardiac problems, high/low blood pressure, pulmonary diseases as well as respiratory problems. Remember that if you decide to with-hold information on any such illness you are taking risks not only with your own health, but putting your crew and our company at risk too. Extensive reading on mountain/high altitude related & tropical diseases is highly recommended.
