This Safari in Tanzania to Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro will show you two National Parks with its own special atmosphere and wildlife. If you want some Zanzibar relaxation we recommend a Zanzibar extension to Zanzibar.
Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara
You will be picked up from Arusha and taken to Lake Manyara to begin your Tanzanian safari. Remarkably beautiful, the park is tucked away at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. A variety of game species, including buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippopotamuses, and, if you’re lucky, the renowned tree-climbing lions, are visible. Manyara Lake is an excellent bird refuge, home to large flocks of flamingos and a wide variety of water bird species. Overnight at Rift Valley Lodge at Lake Manyara. Lunch box and dinner included.
Day 2: Ngorongoro
Your Tanzanian safari continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area after breakfast. Following your arrival, you make your way down into the crater for an amazing wildlife drive inside the UNESCO-designated Ngorongoro Crater, complete with a picnic lunch. With its 2000-foot-high walls preventing most creatures from migrating in and out, the Ngorongoro Crater contains the largest number of wild animals in the world. The species include jackals, antelopes, rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and other birds. The “Big Five” could be seen in a single day. Overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Farmhouse. All meals included
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Arusha
Depending on the weather, you take a nature walk to the Ngorongoro Crater’s Northern Crater Rim in the morning after the morning mist has lifted, where you may see buffaloes, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and many bird species. Through deep wilderness, you follow animal routes escorted by a ranger or Maasai guide.
After that, you go back to Arusha, arriving in the early afternoon. Lunchbox and breakfast included
