3 Days Mikumi Safari

The park where a Mikumi safari takes you has the highest density of animals in the whole protection region. The Mikumi National Park is ideal for a quick visit and provides a fair sense of the African wildlife kingdom.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi

Your guide will pick you up from your Dar es Salaam hotel or airport, and you’ll travel to Mikumi National Park, which is situated between the rift valley escarpments to the southwest and the Uruguru Mountains to the east. The journey takes around four to five hours from Dar es Salaam’s suburbs. It enjoys the highest wildlife density in the whole nature reserve due to its proximity to and integration with the Selous ecosystem. Mikumi National Park is a great place for a quick trip and provides a wonderful sense of African wildlife. Take a safari around Mikumi National Park when you arrive. Overnight at Tan Swiss Lodge outside the park  Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Mikumi National Park

A whole day spent on wildlife drives in Mikumi. A wide range of bird species may be seen there, along with many of giraffes, buffaloes, and elephants, as well as lions, leopards, and hippos around the water holes. In addition, zebras, lions, pythons, wild dogs, elephants, impala, warthogs, elands, and various antelopes may be seen.

You may get a comprehensive perspective of the park from a number of observation towers. With gently rising slopes, Mikumi National Park is primarily composed of miombo forest. Overnight at Tan Swiss Lodge outside the Park All meals included.

Day 3:  Mikumi – Dar Es Salaam 

Continue your safari activities in Mikumi after breakfast, and then return to Dar Es Salaam, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Included are lunch and breakfast.
