Follow the Serengeti Migration in Feb-April

The great Serengeti Migration of the wildebeest is a dramatic wildlife experience and a spectacular show of nature. In an annual circle from Masai Mara, Kenya through Serengeti and the western park of Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, approximately 1,5 million wildebeests move around constantly seeking fresh grazing and better quality water. The wildebeests are accompanied by large numbers of zebras and smaller numbers of different species of gazelles and followed by ever hungry predator cats. The moves are fairly well researched but can still not precisely predicted. The annual pattern is dependent upon rainfalls, grass and pasture. Our Serengeti Migration Special itineraries will take you as close as possible  and we assure you a great safari experience.

Day 01: Arusha-Ngorongoro

Depart Arusha in the morning for your drive through the Maasai Steppe and along the Rift Valley to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. After arrival you descend to the Crater floor  for a wonderful game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is often described as one of the wonders of the world and has been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only.
Spend sunset overlooking the Crater Floor from the pool area or your private panorama windows.
