This luxury camping safari show you the famous highights of Tanzania: Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset over the parks from your own veranda, lit up by candle lights.
Day 1: Arrival
Your driver/guide and our representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to Mount Meru Game Lodge. This lovely lodge is located in the slopes of Mt. Meru and has its own wildlife sanctuary. Accommodation is provided in one of their premium apartments, each with its own private garden. Our safari manager will arrive to welcome you and educate you on your Luxury Camping Safari. Breakfast, dinner, and all beverages are included.
NB: If you arrive at a different airport than Kilimanjaro, we will organize a connection flight to Arusha either on arrival or the next day (at an additional fee). Road transportation in private or shared automobiles are also available from Nairobi.
Day 2-3: Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, you will travel by car to your first exclusive tented camp, which is located on Tarangire National Park’s edge. Tanzania’s fifth-largest national park, Tarangire, is well-known for the magnificent baobab trees that tower over the animals that graze underneath them. A wide variety of species may be seen in the park, particularly from July to November when the Tarangire River serves as the region’s sole reliable source of water during the dry season. Wildlife, including up to 6,000 elephants, congregates along the river during this season.
2 x Overnight at a Private Luxury Mobile Tented Camp inside Tarangire National Park.
All meals included
Day 4: Lake Manyara
Following breakfast, you will go to Lake Manyara National Park by driving across the Great Rift Valley floor. The name of this stunning park, which is filled with tropical woods full of enormous fig and mahogany trees and rich in vegetation, comes from the Maasai term for “euphorbia tirucalli,” a shrub that is used to create a prickly hedge to protect livestock. In addition to several hippopotamian species, the park is home to elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, and other antelope species, as well as a diversity of monkey species. If you’re lucky, you could catch a glimpse of the Manyara lions, which are renowned for their propensity for climbing trees, relaxing on the limbs of a “Acacia tortilis” tree. There are many different types of woodland birds as well as flamingos, pelicans, horn bills, and other plentiful bird life. Overnight at Lemala Luxury Tented Camp at Lake Manyara All meals included
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After a short journey this morning, you will arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater, dubbed the “eighth wonder of the world,” and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will proceed on an excursion to the Northwest Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which includes a trip to Olmoti and Empakai Crater. You may stroll down to the rather shallow crater at Olmoti Crater. Eland, buffalo, and bush buck may be seen in the grassy caldera. Water pours out of Munge Stream, a little yet magnificent waterfall, on the south side of the crater after crossing it. Nearly half of the bottom of the six-kilometer-wide Empakai Crater is occupied by a deep soda lake. Around the lake, animals and waterbirds are frequently spotted. You will be staying at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for the next two nights. This stunning resort, perched on the crater’s edge, offers expansive views of the crater bottom.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
You will leave for a full day of animal watching on the crater floor following an early breakfast. After enjoying a picnic lunch in a private area, you’ll head back to your resort in the afternoon. The Ngorongoro Crater’s Northern Crater Rim, home to buffalo, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and other bird species, is where you thereafter embark on a walking safari. You go through the jungle on animal pathways escorted by an armed ranger.
Stay overnight at the Ngorongoro Kirurumu Tented Camp with full board
Day 7-10: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, head to the “Great Serengeti,” which is arguably the most well-known animal refuge on earth. Estimates of up to 1.5 million Thomson’s gazelles, zebras, and wildebeest graze the expansive Serengeti plains, which span an area of over 14,763 square kilometers, during the months of the migration. Predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to them during the calving season, which occurs on the plains of Ndutu and Salei, from December to March. The herds often travel into the western corridor in June and July, and by October and November, they are typically in the northern Serengeti. From the small dik dik to the elusive leopard, a wide range of flora and animals find refuge on the gigantic granite boulder islands known as the Serengeti “Kopjes.”
Depending on the time of year and the movements of the animals, you will stay four nights in an opulent private camp situated in a wilderness. 4 x Overnight – Luxury Private Mobile Camp All meals included
Day 11: Serengeti to Arusha
Take a wildlife drive in the early morning to witness animals waking up in the early light and nocturnal predators returning from their prey. We transport you to Seronera Airstrip for your journey back to Arusha following the lodge breakfast.
After your transfer, spend the remainder of the day at leisure in your accommodation at Mount Meru Game Lodge.
