This luxury safari show you some of the highlights in the Northern Circuit: Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Arusha National Park.

Day 1: Arrival

Your driver/guide and our representative will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Next, you’ll make your way to the breathtaking and creatively constructed Hatari Lodge, which was formerly the residence of German movie star Hardy Krueger and offers breathtaking views of Buffalo Meadow and the Momella Swamps. In the distance, one can see both the towering Mount Kilimanjaro and the striking peaks of Mount Meru. Your arrival timetable will determine how much time you have to unwind and savor your meal in picturesque settings. Overnight at Hatari LodgeDinner included.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

A full day of safari activities in and around Hatari Lodge kicks off your adventure living outside of Africa. The enthusiastic and committed guide will take each activity with care, combining their years of experience to produce something really unique. Activities include hiking in Mount Meru Crater, boating on the Momella Lakes, and birdwatching in the areas between Kilimanjaro and Meru, which are a birdwatcher’s dream come true. You will be accompanied the entire time by knowledgeable and passionate experts. Overnight at Hatari Lodge. All meals included.

Day 3: Serengeti

Following a relaxed morning and breakfast, your guide will transport you to the neighboring Arusha Airport in time for your 12:30 p.m. flight to the Serengeti. Your camp driver will meet you and transport you to your camp when you arrive at about 14:30. Enjoy a lovely sunset over the savannah while you pass the remainder of the day at leisure. Later in the afternoon, if you’d like, you might take a nature walk around the camp.
You will spend the night at Mapito, a posh tented camp surrounded by abundant wildlife. Here, you may enjoy delectable bush cuisine, stay warm by the blazing campfire, and fall asleep to the sound of a distant lion roar. Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp. All meals included.

Day 4&5: Serengeti

Spend two full days exploring the most renowned and untamed animal reserve on the planet. Take an early game drive to witness animals waking up in the early morning light and nocturnal predators returning from their prey. A full day of Serengeti wildlife drives. The renowned “Big Five”—the lion, elephant, cape buffalo, black rhino, and leopard—as well as other animals including wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, antelopes, and numerous bird species—can all be seen, depending on the season and the herds’ journey. Savor your picnics in the bush, approach the hippo pool with caution, and just take in the vast, untamed wildlife that is all around you. 2 x Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp. All meals included.

Day 6: Ngorongoro

After breakfast, descend into the crater and enjoy a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) in Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as one of the wonders of the world. It is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and a natural sanctuary for the dense animal population that lives there. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhinoceros can be observed in its natural environment. Since very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2,000-foot walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and countless other species. With a bit of luck, the “Big Five” can be spotted on just one game drive! You spend the night in the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge – unbridled luxury on the crater rim. Overnight at Plantation Lodge nearby. All meals included.

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Manyara Ranch

Take a morning nature walk along the northern rim of Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll spot birds and monkeys and whatever else you come across! Accompanied by a ranger or Maasai guide, you’ll follow animal trails through dense bush and experience the sights, sounds and smells of this stunning and untouched corner of the world. After your hike, head to Manyara Ranch Conservancy, a wildlife-rich corridor between Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Here you will spend two days exploring and discovering, according to your personal safari plan. The camp manager, an experienced and enthusiastic safari guide, will welcome you and discuss your program preferences for the next two days. You can then enjoy the beautiful scenery, enjoy a delicious dinner, watch zebras and wildebeest wander past your window before resting in your luxury tent. Overnight at Manyara Ranch CampAll meals included.

Day 8-9: Manyara Ranch

Depending on your preferences, enjoy full days of safari activities at the exclusive Manyara Ranch Conservancy, which is home to breeding giraffes, eland, greater kudu, striped hyena, bull elephants, wildebeest, zebra, oryx, lion, cheetah, leopard, and the seldom seen bat-eared fox. This might be going to neighboring towns to learn about local culture, doing nature hikes in the surrounding area, going on off-road game drives at night, viewing animals from hides along the river, and much more—all with a touch of manyara ranch luxury! 2 x Overnight at Manyara Ranch CampAll meals included.

Day 10: Departure

Safari and game-viewing excursions in the early morning, according to your preferences and timetable. The end of your safari outside of Africa. After breakfast, check out of Manyara Ranch and make your way to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your next flight.

Note: If your flight departs from Kilimanjaro Airport early (before midday), we advise you to come back to Arusha the day before and spend your final night there.
