A group safari to the wonderful Amboseli National Park for some extraordinary game viewing, featuring many up-close moments with the famous Amboseli Elephants.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will be met by your guide, who will be driving you to Amboseli National Park. Along the way, he will be able to answer any questions you may have and give you an introduction to rural Kenya.

The five hour journey will take you along the Nairobi Mombasa highway to arrive at Amboseli in time for lunch. As you approach the Park be on the look-out for your first glimpse of snow-covered Mount Kilimanjaro, just across the border in Tanzania! Africa’s highest mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to this sensational National Park.

After lunch there will be some time to settle into your accommodation and perhaps do some game viewing from the comfort of your private balcony, overlooking the wetlands. The rooms are all spacious and comfortably decorated with pleasant African themed décor – most have sweeping views over the wetlands towards Mount Kilimanjaro.

Your afternoon game drive will get you close to some of the marvelous Amboseli Elephants! This park is acknowledged to be one of the best places in East Africa to enjoy a close encounter with large numbers of free-ranging Elephants. In addition, all the other members of the Big Five can also be spotted in Amboseli, together with a good variety of grazers.

Back at the Lodge, you can enjoy sundowners before dinner and then drift off to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
