Day 01: Arrival
Your driver/guide and our representative will meet you at the Dar Es Salaam International Airport. We’ll transport you to the Holiday Inn in Dar Es Salaam. Dinner is included.
Day 02: Dar Es Salaam – Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, head to the accommodation to begin your 5- to 7-hour trip to the Selous Game Reserve. You take your time soaking in the untamed African surroundings when you arrive at your resort in the afternoon in time for a late lunch. Following lunch and some relaxation, you go on a guided walking trip along the Rufiji River’s riverbanks to see a little bit of the region surrounding your lodge. Strolling among bushes and ancient mahogany trees, you get to see hippos grunting and mingling in the water as well as joyful monkeys in the canopy. Make it back to your resort in time for a refreshing drink around sundown. Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge. All meals included.
Day 03: Nyerere National Park
A full day of game drives at the Frederick Selous-named Selous Game Reserve. The Selous Game Reserve is a massive protected game reserve that is larger than Switzerland and a pure, deserted region that is recognized as a UN World Heritage site. The Rufiji River and its tributaries have carved out rocky outcrops, grassland plains, and rolling savannah woodlands throughout the park. Game drives, an exciting and instructive walking safari, and a boat ride on the Rufiji River are among the activities. Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge. All meals included.
Day 04: Nyerere National Park
Today you visit a nearby village for some cultural outings. View the everyday activities of the people living in Tanzania’s distant countryside, gain some understanding of their culture, and interact with the amiable locals. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice some basic Swahili! Overnight at Selous Mapumziko Lodge. All meals included.
Day 05: Nyerere National Park – Mikumi
We move on to the next fascinating stop on your safari tour after breakfast. Before arriving at your camp in the afternoon, you must first travel over a vast and isolated section of the northern Selous on uneven, partially dusty roads that lead to Morogoro town and Mikumi National Park. Nestled in the seemingly boundless wilderness southwest of Mikumi National Park, Angalia Tented Camp is a perfect location to capture the essence of authentic Africa. You will go on an afternoon game drive in Mikumi following a brief break. You might have time for a swim in the pool before getting ready for the evening, depending on how long your game drive is. In the evenings, you can see uncommon honey badgers and civets in a special feeding area within your camp. Overnight at Angalia Tented Camp. All meals included.
Day 06: Mikumi National Park
Today, you go on a full-day safari to better explore Mikumi. A day spent at Mikumi National Park is a great way to get a feel for the animals of an African safari and is ideal for a quick visit. Numerous buffaloes, elephants, and giraffes may be seen roaming the plains in their characteristic ambling pace, along with a wide diversity of bird species. Hippos, leopards, and lions are also seen close to the water holes. Zebras, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeests, wildebeests, elephants, impalas, warthogs, elands, and other antelopes are among the numerous animals that call this place home. You can get an incredible overview of Mikumi’s vast plains and rolling miombo woods from a number of observation towers. Overnight at Angalia Tented Camp. All meals included.
Day 07: Mikumi-Zanzibar
We return you to Dar Es Salaam for your trip to Zanzibar (departure at around 16:00) following your final bush breakfast at your camp. Travel to the Hotel Zanzibari. Including lunch and breakfast
