This Camping Safari Serengeti / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro / Tarangire will take you to four National Parks that each one has its own special atmosphere and wildlife. With only canvas between you and the night you will hear, feel and smell the seducive Tanzanian nature.
Day 1: Lake Manyara
The drive to Lake Manyara is where your Camping Safari journey begins. Famous for its breathtaking beauty, the park is tucked away at the foot of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. There are numerous game animals to be seen, including hippopotamuses, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and impalas. At Lake Manyara, spend the night at a public campground. Dinner is served along with a lunchbox.
Day 2: Lake Manyara – Serengeti
After breakfast, travel to the Leakey family’s archeological site, Olduvai Gorge, and then on to the Serengeti National Park. Camp for the night in the Serengeti. All meals are provided.
Day 3: Serengeti
A whole day spent on Serengeti game drives. You may see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and numerous birds and other species, depending on the season and the herds’ migration. Spend the evening at the Central Serengeti’s Seronera Public Campsite. All meals are provided.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Serengeti game drive in the early morning. Following breakfast, we’ll head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and, weather permitting, take a nature walk in the afternoon at the Northern Crater Rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, which is home to a variety of wildlife species, including buffaloes, elephants, baboons, monkeys, and birds. Through dense bush, you follow animal paths escorted by a ranger or Maasai guide. Spend the night at Ngorongoro’s Simba Public Campsite. Every meal is served.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you will drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for an amazing game drive and picnic lunch. With its 2000-foot-high walls, the Ngorongoro Crater has the highest wild animal density in the world because very few animals migrate in and out of it. The species include jackals, antelopes, rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and numerous birds. The “Big Five” might be seen in a single day. Spend the night at Ngorongoro’s Simba Public Campsite. Every meal is served.
Day 6: Tarangire
Drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park and a refuge for an exceptionally large population of elephants, to continue your Camping Safari. One intriguing aspect of the park is the majestic baobab trees, which dwarf the creatures that graze beneath them. Since the Tarangire River is the region’s only reliable source of water, animals congregate along its banks. The wildlife is extremely diverse and includes up to 6,000 elephants in addition to lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Spend the night at a Tarangire public campground. Every meal is served.
Day 7: Tarangire – Arusha
After last early morning game drive you return to Arusha with arrival early afternoon where your Camping Safari Serengeti / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro / Tarangire ends.
