Our Self Drive Vehicles

From the word go a lot of time was spent ensuring that every eventuality was taken care. We embarked in detail research to establish the very best, equipped self-drive vehicles in Tanzania.

The reliable 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop up roof are great safari vehicles, known for their durability and ruggedness the world over. They are supplied with a huge range of equipment from front to back, for your enjoyment as well as safety. Each vehicle is sent out with fuel and water, tools, high lift jack, winch and 2 spare tyres.

Undivided, and continuous attention is paid to each vehicle. They are fully serviced regularly and thoroughly checked after each safari. We will not allow you to take a vehicle out if we feel it is not working properly and were not be prepared to take it on safari ourselves.

Whilst on safari, there are a number of daily checks we ask you to carry out; to ensure your safety and maintain the vehicle in good working order. Doing so will prevent unnecessary breakdowns and disappointment. We will take you through these ‘checks’ prior to you taking the vehicle out. Your safety and our vehicles’ are paramount.

At Jolita Safari we pride ourselves on making sure you have a full briefing and introductory/familiarisation session with the vehicle and its equipment. This is tailored to your needs and experience, but may include a drive in to Arusha National Park (with someone on hand to assist if need be). We’ll advise on practicalities, like making a campfire, erecting the tent(s) and assembling the other equipment provided for your comfort. We want you to feel completely happy and confident before you go on your safari…ensuring it is enjoyable and worry free.

If you have limited experience driving a 4×4, a day course may be beneficial. We are tailored to meet your individual needs. Please contact us for further information.

Our 24-hour back-up team is here to help you should a situation arise. You will be given a comprehensive list of telephone numbers and the vehicles have a satellite telephone for such instances.. We will prepare you for the safari of a lifetime, which you’re sure to repeat.
